I need your help, to help you live abroad…

Reader,

I need your help to figure out how best to help you live that life abroad that you're dreaming of...

With every email I send, I chase the sole goal of inspiring you to escape to that beautiful life abroad that you know is possible then give you the information and tools to make escaping to your new life possible.

Writing about living abroad, wandering the world, and how you can craft a “global lifestyle” from the life in front of you is a deep passion of mine.

I only write for two people: 1) 18 year old me that direly needed a little more knowledge of the vast opportunities in the world and to know what was possible, and 2) you.

Every sentence, email, article, and book I write is driven by the sole goal of helping you get to the life you want by discovering a new way to live (abroad) and how to make that life a reality for you. If you’re receiving this email then I know that you are like me - someone with a taste for a long-term international lifestyle split between countries and continents, satisfying your palate for global experiences one destination and adventure at a time.

Along the way, I hope to convince you that the island lifestyle, that the life in southern Europe or Japan or Bali, and that the seasonal life split between your dream continents is very much possible and then inspire you to take that first step.

So now, I need your help to decide what book to write next to help you on that journey from now to dream life.

From the list below, what book would you love to read right now?

1. (Book) The Samsara Diaries: Stories from 10 years wandering the world

From Iraq to Oktoberfest, from pandemic Bali to Patagonia, from finding humanity with refugees to shaking “hands” with elephants - 17 inspiring and impactful stories from a decade wandering the globe

2. (Book) The Lifestyle Expats: A guide to the new nomads, and how to become one

Island expats, seasonal expats, new nomads, sabbaticals, corporate gap years and FIRE retirees. The “new normal” has ushered in a group of people that live abroad for the long haul and love it. This is a guide to becoming one and living the life successfully

3. (Book) Financing the Escape: A guide to achieving financial independence for wanderlusters that want to live abroad

A guide to investing, budgeting, banking, taxes, real estate investment and more specifically for people who’s goal is to move abroad, and how to leverage a life abroad to achieve financial independence sooner

4. The Personal Finance Boot Camp: A quick guide to everything money related that we should have learned before, but need to know now

5. How to Travel the World: A guide to quitting everything, packing a bag, and wandering the world safely, enjoyably, and fulfillingly

6. Personal Finance Essentials for Nomads and Expats: International taxes, remote small businesses, visas, permanent residencies, international real estate investing

The next book I start writing will be accompanied by plenty of (free) episodes on my new Youtube channel the Abroadcast and plenty of (free) posts on A Brother Abroad, breaking down the possibilities and exactly how to achieve them. So, with this vote not only for a book, but for plenty of other fun content for your journey.

Feel free to reply to this email with the number for the book you would love to read or email me at Carlos@abrotherabroad.com. Any extra thoughts, ideas, or requests would be greatly appreciated.

As a thank you, when I finish the book you choose (whether it is published first or seventh), I will happily (and thankfully) send you a free copy.

My sole goal is to help you build a (dream) life abroad. Thank you for helping me achieve that goal of helping you wander better.

Hey Reader! Sometimes, I try to write the amazing stories of travel that will hopefully inspire you to take that leap, book that ticket, and find a way to start traveling the world! Other times I write to share tactical advice through guides and straightforward information, to help you find your happy place in the world as a nomad or lifestyle expat, as easily as possible, sharing the tidbits that I wish 25 year me would have known. However, today, I want to take you on a journey with me, as...

Hey Reader! Carlos here, writing you from Medellin, Colombia, with some fun travel updates and thoughts for your chill Saturday. Being here in the green and beautiful El Pobaldo neighborhood (which I call the Beverly Hills of Medellin)and Medellin in general, also known as the “city of eternal spring,” have me in an amazing mood! If there is one place you need to visit that’s insanely underrated (even with the great reputation it already has) it’s Colombia. Plus, if you are considering moving...

Hey Reader! Good morning from Santiago, Chile! Today, as I sit in the old European architecture-lined streets of the Bellas Artes and Lastarria neighborhoods of Chile's capital, I want to share with you how Mendoza, Argentina has the best travel & wine experience** you’ve never heard of, and how I realized that, potentially, the wine and nature in Mendoza make the best nomad escape you’ve never heard of**, for focused work and a low cost of living in Argentina. But first, back to Chile… It’s...
